To meet these challenges, SEW-EURODRIVE offers a complete drive solution for decentralized installation: MOVIPRO®, the new drive and positioning control system.

Installation
MOVIPRO® combines all required functions in one compact unit: Power from 4 to 15 kW, degree of protection IP54, robust aluminum housing and pluggable connections for energy, power and signals. MOVIPRO® also has no limitations when it comes to communications, because all commercially available fieldbus systems are supported. Several installed drive controllers can be easily connected with each other in standard, decentralized line topology.

 


MOVIPRO®-SDC Installation

MOVIPRO® creates the basis for open and flexible system architectures, whether a new system is being designed or an existing system is being modernized.

 

Decentralized conveyor lines using MOVIPRO® are far superior to comparable centrally controlled systems, for example, in terms of the reduced space requirements for the electronics and the simplified project-planning, installation and maintenance.

Decentralized solutions pay off
Even in the planning phase of complex machine and system structures, attention is paid to uniformity. The standardized installation concept with decentralized components from SEW-EURODRIVE is beneficial in this regard. The decentralized drive and positioning controller MOVIPRO®-SDC as well as the decentralized drive and application controller MOVIPRO®-ADC ensures functional compatibility with existing control cabinet applications and provides a consistent software environment with MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio for the entire engineering, i.e. startup, diagnostics and maintenance.

Safety technology

MOVIPRO® can be used in safety-oriented applications up to performance level d
(EN ISO 13489-1) .

 

When using the standard version of MOVIPRO® with an external emergency stop relay or a higher-level controller:

  • STO can be achieved – Safe Torque Off in accordance with IEC 61800-5-2; non-controlled shutdown in accordance with EN 60204-1, stop category 0
  • SS1(c) can be achieved – Safe Stop 1, function variant c in accordance with IEC 61800-5-2; controlled shutdown in accordance with EN 60204-1, stop category 1
  • Can be used for all fieldbus types

 

When using MOVIPRO® with PROFIsafe option S11:

  • STO can be achieved – Safe Torque Off in accordance with IEC 61800-5-2; non-controlled shutdown in accordance with EN 60204-1, stop category 0
  • Can be used for the fieldbus systems
    –   PROFIBUS
    –   PROFINET IO
  • In addition, the following safety function can be realized in conjunction with MOVIPRO® ADC:
    – SBC - safe brake control according to IEC 61800-5-2
